Archdiocese of Philadelphia Partners with the Please Touch Museum to Bring "Portable Play" to Students

WHAT: The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has partnered with the Please Touch Museum to bring the museum's Portable Play Program to Archdiocesan elementary schools. The Portable Play Program brings the Please Touch Museum mission direct to the classroom, allowing students to experience hands-on educational play with a facilitator from the Please Touch Museum and a kit that is constructed to mirror a museum exhibit.

At the end of the in-class program, students receive an official "Museum Explorer" patch and complimentary pass to the visit the museum. As part of the partnership, Archdiocesan pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade classes in the City of Philadelphia may visit the Please Touch Museum free of charge.

The partnership, designed to reinforce literacy and math skills while promoting social growth and development with interactive learning experiences, will kick-off with a Portable Play demonstration for Archdiocesan administrators and teachers on Thursday, December 11.
