Wreaths Across America Scheduled to Stop at Two Archdiocesan Parish Schools Patriot Guard Riders to Escort 100,000 Wreaths from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery in the World's Longest Veterans Parade

WHAT: St. Martha Parish School in Northeast Philadelphia and Sacred Heart Parish School in Chester County have been designated stops on the Wreaths Across America tour, a nationwide holiday remembrance of veterans traveling from Maine to Virginia. The wreath convoy, with an escort from the Patriot Guard Riders of Southeast, Pennsylvania, a group dedicated to honoring our nation's heroes, will pause at two Archdiocesan Parish Schools before continuing on to ultimately deliver the wreaths to veterans' graves at Arlington National Cemetery. Both schools will be hosting assemblies after the procession to honor the families of the fallen Philadelphia Police Officers, as well as our country's veterans. At St. Martha Parish School, wreaths will be presented to the families of Officer Charles Barclay, Officer Gary Skerski, Officer Charles Cassidy, Officer Isabel Nazario, Sergeant Patrick McDonald and Sergeant Timothy Simpson.

WHEN:Friday, December 12, 2008 - Scheduled to arrive at St. Martha Parish School at 8:30 a.m. - Scheduled to arrive at Sacred Heart Parish School at 12:30 p.m.
